This explosive show chronicles almost every PYREX design. We “took over” the Rakow Library atrium and filled the walls with cases of America’s Favorite Dish. The exhibit flanks the two long sides of the soaring space. One side offers a case-by-case shap-shot into elements of the Pyrex story, while the other side arranges hundreds of Pyrex pieces in chronological order, including many of the entertaining and ingenious advertisements that were critical to helping Corning Inc. sell the crazy idea of cooking with glass. Designed on a very tight budget, the wall cases can be re-used for future shows.
