Exhibition Design: Renée Lalique, Enchanted by Glass
Wherever you are, you can see everything.
In the spirit of the "tuxedo" era of the 1910's-1930's, this world-class exhibition features René
Lalique's vast array of luxury objects in glass and especially mold-blown glass: from perfume bottles,
automobile mascots, and vases, to mirrors, lighting and figurines, they testify to a time of immense
wealth and decadence in American history. On the other hand the objects, made in multiples, permitted
public access to aristocrat-quality glass. The show's architectural design embodies the double theme of
elegance and mass production. Perimeter walls angle around a central octagon of column cases all in a
monochrome palette. The visitor is empowered with total visual access to the full roster.
The custom logo and graphics, designed together with internationally recognized graphic designer, Louise
Fili, set the tone of elegance and good taste that is Lalique's trademark.
